The Brain Initiative presents: Ideas to Foster Creativity in 21st Century Education

In 2017 Colegio Hacienda Los Alcaparros (Bogotá, Columbia) began a systematic reflection about the development of the human brain, in all its dimensions, as a way to prepare to respond to the transformations occurring in the area of education in the country and in the contemporary world. This year their Brain and Learning Series explore the Creative Mind, the conditions that foster creativity, the factors that inhibit all of us, and those that spark innovation. Each talk from world-class researchers and innovators in their field will give the tools to support creative thinking at home, at the workplace, and in classrooms.

Classroom Thinktank founder, Leonard Sommer and host Rosita Caro, founder and principal of Colegio Hacienda Los Alcaparros, will moderate a panel to discuss the topic with great minds like Patrick Newell, education futurist and founder of the Tokyo International School, Dr. Kristóf Fenyvesi, a researcher of STEAM at the Finnish Institute for Educational Research, University of Jyväskylä, Finland and Pamela Burnard, Professor of Arts, Creativities and Educations, University of Cambridge, UK

The panel takes place remotely on April 20th, 7 pm CET
