Patrick Newell
Patrick Newell founded the Tokyo International School (TIS) as an alternative and progressive school together with committed educators and parents, among others for his two daughters. Back in 2005, TIS became the first Apple Lighthouse school outside the US to introduce a 1:1 laptop program to support its learner-centered and project-based curriculum. Today, around 400 children are taught bilingually at the school.
Patrick Newell is the founder of TEDxTokyo and Professor of Science, Technology, and Innovation at Shizenkan University in Tokyo. Since 2022, he has been Co-National Project Manager for the OECD Survey on Social and Emotional Competencies in Japan.
He is the author of several books and co-author of “Classroom Thinktank - how to foster creativity in 21st-Century Learning“.

Known for his performative persona and his bold and polarizing moniker, the digital prophet, Shingy is a multidimensional creative who specializes in advising clients about inventive, effective and sustainable approaches to optimizing brand value within the digital landscape. He is passionate about educating big brands about the unique opportunities afforded by emerging digital, social and mobile technologies.

Philippe Longchamps
Philippe Longchamps is a Canadian educator from Québec who moved to Sweden in 2002. He was named Teacher of the Year 2020 in Sweden and was a finalist for the Global Teacher Prize 2021. He is the Head of Department at the Bilingual School in Lund.
Longchamps is the co-author of the books “Classroom Thinktank – how to foster creativity in 21st-Century Learning” (Initiative Classroom Thinktank/Vahlen Verlag, 2023) and “Transformative Education“ (Routledge, 2022).
He is also the co-founder of the consulting firm Integreateach.

Pamela Burnard
Pamela Burnard is a Professor of Creativity and Education in the Faculty of Education at the University of Cambridge, where she chairs the Arts and Creativities Research Group and runs a monthly online seminar series entitled “Performing Research“.
She has published 20 books and more than 100 articles advancing and expanding the conceptualization and plural expression of creativity in all sectors of education - from preschool and primary to secondary, further, and higher education, as well as the creative and cultural industries. She is co-editor of the journal “Thinking Skills and Creativity“.

Dr. David Klett has over 15 years of experience in the publishing and education sectors. He is a board member of Ernst Klett AG, which, with its more than 100 subsidiaries in over 25 countries, is one of Europe's leading educational companies.
David Klett is responsible for a number of educational media providers in the German-speaking region as well as in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Finland. After studying at the University of Witten/Herdecke, founding his own company, and completing an internship at Scholastic in the USA, he joined the Klett Group in 2008.

Dr. Michael Trautmann
Michael studied business administration and earned a PhD in ecology-oriented marketing. He was Managing Partner at the renowned creative agency Springer & Jacoby before becoming the youngest top executive at Audi AG as Global Chief Marketing Officer. In 2004, he co-founded the advertising agency kempertrautmann with André Kemper, which later became thjnk. The agency was named Newcomer of the Year, first in Germany and then globally.
Michael is also a co-founder of Upsolut Sports, which developed Hyrox, the world’s first fitness competition for everyone. Over the past 15 years, he has served on advisory and supervisory boards, including for the Deutsches Schauspielhaus and the innovation agency HYVE AG. As a business angel, he also supports young startups. Trautmann is a multiple-time author and co-host of the podcast “On The Way to New Work” with Christoph Magnussen. Since 2020, he has been contributing his expertise in New Work to NWMS (New Work Masterskills), the company he founded.

Dr. Manfred Hückel
After 23 years, Manfred Hückel traded his job in the executive board of the Red Bull corporation for the voluntary task of saving a small school on Lake Wolfgang. Today, St. Gilgen International School is considered one of the best schools in Europe. In addition, Manfred Hückel teaches Leadership at the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland), the Vienna University of Economics and Business, and the HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management, where he was voted best guest lecturer in 2023. His book, Lighthouses of Education: A Guide to a School Revolution, appeared on the Thalia bestseller list in Austria in the summer of 2023.

Prof. Anne Sliwka
Anne Sliwka is a Professor of Education at the University of Heidelberg. After extended research stays in Canada, East Asia, and Oceania, she founded the Deeper Learning Initiative in 2018 and co-authored the book Deeper Learning: Pedagogy of the Digital Age with a colleague. Her research focuses on how schools must fundamentally change their organization and pedagogy in the era of artificial intelligence and automation.
Through the Deeper Learning Initiative, she advocates for a learning culture suited to the 21st century and has developed a teaching model that connects knowledge acquisition in hybrid learning spaces with co-constructive and co-creative student actions. This approach leads to authentic outcomes that not only become visible but also impactful in real-world contexts.

Prof. Dr. Uta Hauck-Thum
Uta Hauck-Thum studied primary education at the University of Augsburg and worked as a primary school teacher in Munich for eight years before earning her PhD at Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU) in Munich. After being appointed to the University of Education in Salzburg in 2016, she accepted a professorship in primary education and didactics at LMU in 2018.
Since then, she has been teaching and researching at the Munich UniLab, a project school where teaching and learning processes are reimagined and redesigned in the context of digital culture. Uta Hauck-Thum serves as a scientific advisor for the BMBF-funded project "Schultransform".

Matthias Strobel
Matthias Strobel is the President of MusicTech Germany and the founder and Vice President of Music Tech Europe, where he advocates for innovation in the music industry. He is also the CEO of Wicked Artists, a booking agency for Creative Technology and New Media artists, as well as a lecturer in Music Tech Innovation at NYU Berlin.
Strobel offers workshops on digitalization and new technologies in the music ecosystem and supports startups with avant-garde approaches as a consultant and mentor. His goal is to foster the innovation potential of artists and founders and help shape the future of the music ecosystem.
He is committed to providing access to information about music technologies and facilitating knowledge transfer in the creative industries. Additionally, he curates events at the intersection of music, technology, and innovation and has built a community of over 2,200 music-tech enthusiasts in Berlin.

Anne-Sophie Panzer
Anne-Sophie Panzer is the Co-Founder and COO of ZAUBAR, a Berlin-based startup that has been revolutionizing the way history is taught in education for the past five years. With a Master's degree in History and Political Science from the University of Potsdam, she began her career as a video journalist in renowned newsrooms such as MDR, ZDF, and RBB.
Her entrepreneurial spirit was nurtured on her family's flower farm. As an author, she wrote the book "Dahlias: A Feast for the Eyes and Palate."
At ZAUBAR, Anne-Sophie leads product development and works closely with creatives to develop new storytelling media using artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality (AR). Her active role in the Extended Reality (XR) community is reflected in her work as a juror for the nextReality.Contest and as a mentor at the Hamburg Media School.

Thuy Duong Pham
huy Duong Pham works as a Content Creator for Digital Learning, focusing on how sustainable learning can be creatively integrated into business processes. As an enthusiast for innovative and diversity-sensitive learning approaches, she places her emphasis on digital learning that enables deep and playful learning for everyone.
Until October 2024, Thuy Duong Pham was a research associate at the Institute of Education at the University of Heidelberg, where she contributed to teaching, academic lectures, and renowned projects under the direction of Prof. Dr. Anne Sliwka, including the NELE Campus New Learning Culture, the Deeper Learning Initiative, and Co-Learn.
Her research focused on Deeper Learning, teacher professional development, digitally supported learning environments, and instructional design. This work and these projects have provided Thuy Duong Pham with valuable insights into innovative learning concepts and actively involved her in the development of new learning cultures.
In her dissertation, Thuy Duong Pham explores the use of Deeper Learning, Universal Design for Learning, and game-based learning to create motivating and diversity-sensitive learning environments. The goal of her work is to establish a playful learning culture that considers the individual preferences and interests of all learners.

Katja Kranich
Katja Kranich is the principal of Stromberg Gymnasium in Vaihingen an der Enz. Previously, she built over ten years of expertise in the field of talent development and gifted education. In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, she sharpened her focus on the need for participation and a strong student-centered approach, emphasizing the crucial school responsibility of maintaining students' mental strength and psychological well-being. Katja Kranich is also a certified systemic coach and is involved with the scientific advisory board of Lions-Quest, as well as in professional development for school principals.

Carsten Bangert is an educator, author, and speaker with over 20 years of experience in the field of education. As the principal of Maria-Gress-Schule in Iffezheim, he is deeply engaged with teacher well-being, self-management, and instructional effectiveness. He has published several professional books and numerous articles, including "What Makes Great Teachers" and "Drive Away the Monkeys with the Pebbles." Florian Kretzschmar is a teacher, school building consultant, certified learning space developer, and expert in pedagogical architecture. His mission is to create spaces of possibility where none seem to exist, guiding schools and educational institutions in designing innovative learning environments.

Clark Parsons
Clark Parsons, originally from Alabama, USA, is the Chief Executive Officer of the European Startup Network in Berlin and a partner at iconomy. Clark began his career as a journalist and worked as a consultant for internet companies such as CitySearch.
In 2005, Clark and a co-founder established Vortel GmbH, a voice-over-IP telephone company that was sold in 2008. After leading the Berlin School of Creative Leadership, he served for several years as the Managing Director of the Internet Economy Foundation in Berlin.
Since 2024, he has been the CEO of the European Startup Network. ESN is an international non-profit organisation that serves as an overarching network organisation for all national start-up associations in Brussels.

Janina Beigel
Janina Beigel is a research associate at the Institute of Educational Science at Heidelberg University. In her PhD, she investigates how co-creative processes in connection with Voice & Choice in Deeper Learning contribute to potential development and the fostering of student agency. Together with Prof. Dr. Anne Sliwka, she founded the Deeper Learning Initiative in 2016 and advocates for contemporary learning. Since then, she has worked closely with schools in DL innovation networks, supporting them in implementing new pedagogical approaches through a research-practice partnership. In addition to her research, she is involved in teacher education within the Master of Education program and has studied geography, biology, art, and pedagogy.

Charlotte Graham was a music teacher and is now the principal at Vellinge Kommun in Sweden.
With unconventional and innovative teaching methods based on the latest research, she and Philippe Longchamps are pioneering the teaching of creativity.

Tamara Doleman
Tamara Doleman is the Head of the Visual Arts Department at Ashbury College in Ottawa, Canada. For over 20 years, she has been a passionate art educator for students in grades K-12. She earned her Master of Science in Creativity Studies from SUNY, Buffalo State. In 2018, she was named "Art Teacher of the Year" by the Ontario Art Education Association. Tamara has led numerous creativity and visioning sessions in educational institutions. She has published several professional articles, given a TEDx talk, and contributed to multiple books on creativity in schools. She is one of the copy editor of the first English edition of Leonard Sommer's book "Classroom Thinktank."

Kristóf Fenyvesi
Kristof Fenyvesi is an internationally recognized educational researcher specializing in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education. His research projects focus on the development of innovative and interdisciplinary learning environments that foster creativity, collaboration, and innovative thinking. In his role, he coordinates several international projects for innovative learning environments. Topics include artificial intelligence, maker spaces, 3D printing, skills development through STEAM, and sustainability.
Fenyvesi has also worked as a guest lecturer at several universities, including the University of Cambridge, Indonesia University of Education, University of Milano-Bicocca, Korea National University of Education, Hong Kong Metropolitan University, and Tallinn University.

He is a serial entrepreneur and has authored twelve books. His presentations include keynotes at internationally renowned conferences such as SXSW, Deutscher Marketing Tag, and ECR Tag. His keynotes are known for their insight, inspiration, and entertainment.
Dirk Ploss began his career as a creative at the Hamburg advertising agency FCB Hamburg. After founding four start-ups and working for the KarstadtQuelle Group and OTTO, he joined consumer goods manufacturer Beiersdorf AG. Since the end of 2020, he has been responsible for Beiersdorf's innovation culture as Senior Innovation Manager.

Micha Pallesche
Micha Pallesche is the head of the Ernst Reuter School in Karlsruhe, which has developed under his leadership into a nationally exemplary school with a multi-award-winning media education profile. In 2017, it was honored as the first Smart School by Bitkom e.V. in Baden-Württemberg.
Micha Pallesche is a member of a working group and the project advisory board of Forum Bildung Digitalisierung e.V., heads the steering committee of Europe's largest education trade fair, Learntec, and is an appointed expert on behalf of the BMBF in the development of the digital summit platform "Digital Future: Learning. Research. Knowledge. School transformation." He is also a member of the Federal Government's expert group. He is pursuing his doctorate at the Karlsruhe University of Education on the topic of "Transformation processes against the background of a culture of digitality."

Björn Nölte taught at several state grammar schools, served as a senior school coordinator, and was head of department. He trained trainee teachers at the Studienseminar Potsdam as a subject and main seminar leader and now works in school supervision at the Evangelische Schulstiftung in Berlin.
Björn Nölte is a founding member of the Institut für zeitgemäße Prüfungskultur and co-author of the book “A School without Grades. New Ways of Dealing with Learning and Performance” (hep-Verlag). Thomas Weis has exceptional interdisciplinary experience in a range of industries and sectors.
He is a lecturer in entrepreneurship at Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences. At Objective Partners, he serves as the link between business and technology, bringing stakeholders together as a consultant and moderator.
Using the 4C principles (Communication, Collaboration, Coordination, and Continuity) and user-centered methods (UX and Design Thinking) as a basis, concepts are developed, implemented, and goals achieved.

Jon Buchmüller is studying media and communications management and is the press spokesman for the FDP district association in Ludwigsburg. The 18-year-old is also politically active in various ways. He has been heavily involved in education policy since his time as a school leaver and has a large network in youth education policy.

Rahel Tschopp
Rahel Tschopp is a qualified primary school teacher, special needs teacher, and head teacher. She studied Change Management (M.A.) in Hamburg. She worked for many years at the Zurich University of Teacher Education in teacher training, most recently as the head of the Centre for Media Education and IT.
With her own company, "Denkreise," Tschopp has been supporting school leaders, teachers, and specialist departments in the focused area of school transformation for several years. In addition, her company organizes international educational trips to inspiring schools, allowing participants to experience inspiration on-site.

Petra Ferrari
Petra Ferrari is the founder and head of the Galileo Education Center in Stuttgart, an innovative learning space that combines a kindergarten, elementary school, and after-school care under one roof. With the concept of inquiry-based learning, the education center fosters the development of children's individual potential and places special emphasis on early education in democracy and sustainable development.
Petra Ferrari is a passionate educator, a trained school coach, and was involved in school administration at the German School of Genoa in Italy for many years before founding the education center. She is a sought-after speaker at national and international conferences and, in her role as Vice President of the Association of German Private Schools in Baden-Württemberg, advocates for diversity in education and new educational formats.

Prof. Dr. Andreas Dengel
Prof. Dr. Andreas Dengel holds the Chair of Computer Science Didactics at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main.
His research focuses on “Media in Computer Science Education” and “Immersive Learning with Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality” (“Immersive Learning”). Andreas Dengel is supporting the introduction of the new school subject “Digital World” in Hesse as a university partner and is working on the “Didactics of the Digital World”.
His research has been recognized with two Best Paper Awards (IEEE TALE 2018 and iLRN 2020), a scholarship (Computational Thinking Education Scholarship from the University of Hong Kong), and the Seifriz Special Award for Collaboration between Crafts and Science.
Andreas Dengel is the founder of the university initiative Blue Science, which offers doctoral and post-doctoral students opportunities to exchange ideas on the challenges of mental illness.

Leonard Sommer
Leonard Sommer is the founder of the Classroom Thinktank initiative and the publisher of the book “Classroom Thinktank – how to foster creativity in 21st-Century Learning”.
Leonard Sommer began his professional career in the creative industry immediately after studying communication design in Florence, starting as an entrepreneur at an advertising agency. Together with his brother Gordon Sommer, he founded the creative agency Sommer+Sommer in 1994.
Since 2023, Leonard Sommer has been Vice President of Business Development & Agency Partnerships at the provider of the augmented reality SaaS software ZAUBAR in Berlin.
He holds an EMBA in Creative Leadership from the Berlin School of Creative Leadership.

Claudia Heyn
Claudia Heyn is a secondary school teacher and committed education founder with the declared aim of improving and transforming the school system.
She is the founder of the Talky app, which enables learners to study languages in a personalized way and at their own pace. This allows teachers to take on the role of learning guides, providing more time for individual support and small group work.
Claudia is the co-host of the Instagram Live format "Berlin meets Barcelona," in which she and Björn Nölte discuss current educational topics related to school development, innovation, and digitalization.
In her podcast "BildungsGründer," she sheds light on the German EdTech landscape, explores possibilities and opportunities, and provides insights into the people behind the learning apps and the everyday lives of the founders.

Nina Mülhens
Nina Mülhens is co-founder and managing director of DigitalSchoolStory, and she strengthens equal opportunities, democracy, and social cohesion through digital education. In an increasingly digital world, it is crucial that pupils develop skills in dealing with technology in order to recognize cyberbullying and other risks early on, question them critically, and take active action against them.
Through DigitalSchoolStory, students in grades 5 to 13 acquire these skills through independent work and creative video productions. We link their real world with school lessons and thus promote personal, social, and methodological skills. The scientifically evaluated learning method is used in schools, universities, and companies throughout Germany.

Paul Krauss is Head of Digital at the Stuttgart-based creative agency MDCT AG and Associated Senior Partner at Ecodynamics, a management consultancy specializing in the transformation and introduction of generative AI in companies.
As a lecturer at the AI Transformation Institute (DFKI, Berlin), he imparts knowledge about generative AI to accelerate digital transformation.
Together with the INITIATIVE CLASSROOM THINKTANK, he develops AI learning games to promote creativity.

Florian Nuxoll teaches English and politics at the Geschwister-Scholl-Schule in Tübingen and has been on secondment to the University of Tübingen since 2018.

Gordon Sommer
Gordon Sommer is an experienced entrepreneur in the creative industry. Together with his brother Leonard Sommer, he founded the Stuttgart-based creative agency Sommer+Sommer, which he successfully managed as Managing Director for almost 30 years until it was sold in 2023.
Gordon is a member of the advisory board of the successful GenZ agency PlayTheHype and has experience in start-up advisory through his three years as a board member for entrepreneur development at the incubator First Ventury AG.
He is also an experienced pilgrim of the Way of St. James, on which he walked a total of almost 1000 kilometres barefoot in autumn 2023.
Since August 2024, he has been involved in the INITIATIVE CLASSROOM THINKTANK and is advisor of the FUTUROMUNDO festival in Stuttgart.
